The story...................................
On 7/10, Andres (or as many friends call him: "Dre") crashed on his bicycle while riding in the back canyons of Chula Vista with his friends Mike and Matt. Andres rode up one of the more challenging ramps were he lost control and landed on his head. The fall caused a fracture on his spinal cord (L6 & L7) which has caused temporarily paralysis from the waist down. Dre has been cared for by the best team and has undergone a successful neck surgery. He is now in the Sharp In-Patient Rehabilitation Center were he has been working hard everyday. His mental strength and hard work is paying-off as he has more feeling now than when he was admitted. His journey to full recovery is going perfectly! These wonderful upcoming fundraising events will allow him to continue the care he needs so that he can be playing with his 1 year old son at the beach very soon!
